Description:
India native plants are generally grown as a hedge plant. Shrubs, 1-3 m high, much branched. Woody stems, round, berbuku-books,-haired, green-brown. Single leaf, opposite, blade elliptic to lanceolate, the tip of the base and tapering, flat edge, bone pinnate leaves, both surfaces hairy, 4-8 cm long, 1-3 cm wide, green or yellowish green color. Flowers single or in pairs, in the armpits and the end of the leaf stalk, glandular-haired crown, the crown share four lip, oval, the color purple. Fruit elliptical, 1.5 cm long, three-to four-lipped, brown. Seeds small, flat, brown color.

Landep (Central Java), leaves of honey (Madura).; Kolintang, Violeta (Tagalog).;

     utilization:
     PART USED: Leaves, roots, flowers, and seeds. INDICATIONS: Leaves and roots of merit overcome: - rheumatism and - cough. Flowers merit overcome: - Swelling due to insect bites. Nutritious seeds to overcome: - bitten by a venomous snake. EXAMPLE OF USE: 1. Prepare rheumatism 1 handful of fresh leaves and wash clean. Whiting Add 1/4 teaspoon. Mash until blended, then smeared on a sore spot.

     composition:
     CHEMISTRY CONTENT: The leaves of this plant contain polyphenols and substance pektik. Rods contain polyphenols, saponins, flavonoids, calcium oxalate, fat, substance pektik, and formik acid. While the roots contain polyphenols, saponins, and flavonoids.
